For some reason this trailer for a fishing sim made me think of this thread.

I honestly have felt the music has t been half bad for the last three or so years. And I am one of those "old heads" who typically complains about today's music. That Cuzz lightyear song from a few years ago is still cycle in my car riding rotation every now and then. And king Los's ghetto boy was a good track from a very underrated album. I say keep going with these up and coming artists

I know these are older bands but they are still very popular bands based upon when you go out to bars, the tickets they sell nationally and on the radio.

I think if you want to hit the largest amount of audience that you can with music they will like these are the types of bands that would do that.

But then I'm just a crotchety old man so what do I know??

If I had the Power I’d just bring back Madden 04’s soundtrack. Maybe even sprinkle some 03

Perfect mix of all genres even a mashup with Back in the mud

But i have enjoyed the soundtracks for the past few years , I like hearing the upcoming artists .... there’s usually about 6-7 songs that stick in my head.

Up and coming: good.

All from the same genre: bad.

There are plenty of under-the-radar rock and pop artists out there.

Re: Back to the days of no soundtrack?

The soundtrack has been absolute crap for the past few years. No soundtrack would be an improvement

I’m all for them displaying rock and pop.

You would’ve thought I was damn AFI fan the way I loved the Leaving song pt2 or Yellowcard lol

I am a fan of the utter nonsense of today’s rap though that’s why I don’t mind lol ... I always find a gem to sing during online H2H while I’m trash talking.

But yes for sure more genres would be nice , so I can find some new gems.

I’ve been crucified in 2k19 singing “I just wanna make a grown man cry” during a blowout , so trust I love the diversity.

All other sports game soundtracks have a mix of all genres. Even NBA 2k which basketball is the sport most ingrained in hip hop culture has an extensively more diverse soundtrack than that of Madden.
