Trick #1 is very useful in helping to disguise your Coverage shell. During a game, go into Coaching Adjustments and change Auto-Alignment away from Default.

After watching the video and trying it out, calling pass commit makes a huge difference in the way that your defenders cover, seemingly more so than it has in the past. Yes, it makes you more vulnerable against the run, but like it shows in the clip, the hesitancy that you too often see in coverage is exponentially lessened.
