    OLine Dev trait changes

Does anyone know if an OLineman can change their dev trait? I know there is no x factor but can they bump up to superstar randomly?

Any player at any position may still increase his dev trait by winning an award; player of the week, Pro Bowl, MVP, Best [Position], Rookie Of The Year, etc.

It follows that offensive linemen may increase their development trait by winning Best OL or going to the Pro Bowl. I assume that winning offensive rookie of the year as an OL is hypothetically possible, but it probably requires an unreasonable set of circumstances for an OL to win that award.

I think they are a bit disadvantaged in this way so it would be nice to see the scenario engine utilised to even this up a bit. Also I don't understand why they can't have x-factor abilities. Criteria could be like offense has 3 big plays in a row and then they get a boost in blocking until a pressure or sack is given up

        Agreed on this.

I'm gonna guess they focused on making the skill position X-Factor and Superstar abilities work first, and rightfully so since users control those players far more often than they control linemen. Going forward, I'd like to see an expansion of abilities inclusive of offensive linemen going forward as well.

For instance: Colts guard Quentin Nelson made highlight reels last year for his demolition of Barry Church on a pull block. This play is prime material for an OL Superstar ability. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples of great OLs doing awesome things from which to draw inspiration.

Last year there was a bug that prevented this for the line. It would be nice if this is happens because linemen are core

I also think that linemen can have superstar abilities. I think its x factor zone abilities they lack and it might be rare but a good tackle and take an edge rusher out of the game. I totally agree that there should be an xfactor on the line eventually.

Correct. Some lineman do have susperstar abilities. Trent Williams for sure off the top of my head
