Thank you for all the info. I will not be able to play the game until my return trip from Europe. Could you advise how the CPU trading is in the game? Do you find them somewhat realistic and are there a ton a trades or only a few between CPU teams.

Reading it is actually leading me to go play CFM and actually play the seasons out to see what kind of team I can build.

In my limited time doing trades or looking at trade offers, the CPU will generally offer decent to high value on mid-draft trades, only then to muck up their pick with bad draft logic (Vikings took a TE no10 and Giants took a QB no4 for instance).


The CPU will offer on your trade block too, and these trades generally look ok and make sense (Steelers offered me a future 2nd rounder for age 29 89ovr WR Star Dev Woods, but all other offers were 4th-6th round picks).


Good self discipline is essential in solo CFM as the CPU does not take advantage of Gold-level weekly training or the scenario engine. You can quickly become a farm team for the other 31 cpu teams and reap too many draft picks. If you feel like you're robbing someone, you probably are.


We have a rule in our fast pace Online Peewee League (16 coach practice league to our main league) - if trading with CPU you have to sell at an underpay of about 1 draft round and if you're buying you need to overpay at a value of about 1 draft round.


E.g. If I have an 80ovr backup QB that Daddyleagues says is worth a mid-1st rounder, I can trade him to CPU for a mid-2nd. If the CPU has the same QB and I want to trade for him, I'd need to pay a 1st rounder plus another player or pick (2nd or 3rd).

Indeedy, playing with 31 other coaches is fun and hides a lot of cfm warts. So it renewed my love for playing. You still breaking the game down into nuts and bolts?
