Stat question

I’ve noticed that there are several times when a QB throws a quick screen to a WR and he catches it behind the line of scrimmage. It’s counted as a rush. Is that correct or a bug?

If the QB throws a forward pass to a WR catching it behind the line, it should count as a pass, reception and passing yards. If he throws a WR screen and throws it backwards (throws from his 40, WR catches it at his 37), it is a lateral and a running play. Are you seeing the wrong stat applied to the wrong situation?

Hard to tell. Just seems like I’m seeing a lot of WRs with rushing stats.

Re: Stat question

Seeing this as well, specifically on rpo alert smoke plays where it seems like it was probably slightly forward and scored a rush. I could be wrong though ill check it out in replay next time i run one

Re: Stat question

I've seen check downs thrown slightly backwards a few times now by cpu and they are correctly counting as runs. I've thrown screens myself and not seen them count as anything other than pass (all thrown forward).
