Can the Madden Devs not create end zone plane awareness and first down marker awareness so they stretch, turn and lunge forward for first downs and touchdowns?

The Madden AI is horrible. I was playing a Franchise game (Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions) in week 10 and the computer team (Lions) had the ball on the Cowboys' 20 yard line with 4 seconds left in the game trailing 13-12. Rather than kicking a game winning pass, the computer ran a pass play and time ran out. THAT MADE NO SENSE!!! There are more errors that the game has been consistently doing. I made a horrible mistake buying Madden. I'm so frustrated with EA but I know they are not frustrated as they continue to make money hand over fist having bought out the competition. I can only fantasize what NFL 2K20 would be like.....
There is no excuse to sell a product this poor. You've only been making the game for over 25 years. I was going to buy FIFA 20 and NHL 20 but will no longer buy any EA products any more.
