I left the hotel twice between Wednesday evening and Sunday morning. Once to eat dinner at her Aunt's, once to go across the street to a Pens game, and find a place open to get some beer. The start of a great love affair, we got home Sunday afternoon and found our basement had flooded, the furnace was ruined, and we wouldn't be able to stay in our house for about a week. No problem, I didn't even unpack, took it over to my brother's place, plugged it in to his TV and we played every night after work.

Then came 10 yard fight that was awful except my friend had the Nintendo four player adapter which made it way better.

Then Tecmo Bowl. It drove my parents nuts. I dunno why I thought it was funny to leave it at “ready!! down!! hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut hut!!!” For like 5 minutes at a time.

Oh yeah!!! I put many hours into Mattell Football II....it was better than Atari Football. I suppose it was good I didn't have anything Tecmo or beyond when I was a kid....I probably wouldn't have graduated from Elementary School.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread. I play Madden, NCAA and 2k still. I mix it up and enjoy them all.

But seeing some of the old games made me smile for a simpler time. Intellivision football with the telephone controller, now that was "fun".

My palms and fist still hurt from bashing this guys head. So much fun!


I still have and use this CLASSIC FOOTBALL game. It is my #2 game...cough cough
