Does anyone even use this? How does it even work? I don't feel like it works for running at all. I would line block right or left depending on where I run and i'm getting stuffed.

Think it’s more for if you see a blitz coming from one side on passing plays you shift your line to block that way.

The controls mapped to L1 / LB at pre-snap on offense are specifically for altering your pass protection, per the game's online manual. These controls have no function on running plays.
