Restructuring Contracts

You don’t really have to touch the contract. Just add or subtract 1lb from their weight. Any edit at all will do the trick. Also, the bigger the signing bonus the greater the flexibility. I also use this trick to save money by shifting future salary to the current year. Ex. Player makes 1m in 2020. Resigned 4y 14m. So the total contract 5y 15mil. After restructure the salary will be around 3 per year instead of 1m, then 4mil for the last 4 seasons

Won't changing the current year change how long the contract is? I may just not be understanding what you are saying
