Re: 4-3 rushing

I've been playing mostly with the Seahawks, but tried a couple of games with the Chargers and Packers.

At this tie I feel like the pass rush is broken. Unless a blitzer runs free, I'm getting almost no pressure. Not just as Clowney, but the CPU can't get any either. There is no push, Offensive linemen seem to get either a speed burst or jump off the snap that just shouldn't be there. "winning" a QTE doesn't get me free of the blocker. The pass rush just feels broken all around.

The lack of qb hurries and hits as they throw are more issues related to this. It's becoming very frustrating.

I like the idea of the QTE events to add some skill to usering the defensive line but they just take to long. Even the ones that my guy wins it's still a whole animation that plays out before I'm around the case and it seems like the CPU QB can tell I've won the battle before I've won it as they're already running away from where I'll be breaking free.

Re: 4-3 rushing

Ive been saying for years that the pass rush ahould be controlled with the right stick. Down to bull rush, left or right to swim, top half turn to do a spin move, bottom half turn to rip. Instead of having just power and finesse moves break each pass rush move out into its own rating like they do with ball carriers.

One thing that exacerbates this, in my opinion, is that QB's generally tuck the ball too early when facing pressure. This leads to way more sacks as opposed to errant passes and out-of-bounds throws.

IIRC, Matthew Kato of GameInformer mentioned this issue in the magazine around a decade ago.
