Breakout scenarios are out of hand!

This is crazy, after the last patch we are seeing an absurd amount of superstar breakout scenarios in my 32 user league. In the couple of weeks we've advanced through since last patch we've had at least 4 or 5 teams with a superstar breakout scenario every week. We just advanced to the 3rd week since the patch and I got TWO superstar breakout scenarios for my team this week, one for my WR and another for one of my CBs. If it keeps going at this rate every team is going to have half of their starters with superstar abilities.

In our 32 user franchise we do coach mode, to get everybody retired as a coach and to create owners it would be a mess.

This is absolutely stupid, how does EA always manage to f*** this game up with updates, its every year. I just was able to get an upgrade to superstar for my CB, and look after my game and another user got an upgrade for their LB. Now 3 weeks since the patch in the current season and we are literally seeing 5 to 6 superstar breakout scenarios A WEEK on average. This is going to absolutely ruin our franchise.

You guys are achieving the stats needed to actually upgrade the dev trait every time? They can be pretty tough to get. 150 yards rushing or 3tds for the rb variety is hard

I agree with this; mind you I play offline and don't force feed players to upgrade their development trait. Online user franchises is a different ball game though.

The dev team probably made some mistakes in how they designed the Breakout Scenarios, but it's made worse I'm sure but the fact that many Users(especially in H2H leagues) go out of their way to Meta-game the success necessary to get the upgrade. It's the nature of competitive play(even amongst sim players) to try and maximize their advantage if the game and the rules of their league allows it.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I had 4 in one week... Tough to get these for defenders when there's 3 different guys that need 1-3 big defensive plays each.

This week in out league I had both Nelson Agholor and Avonte Maddox get one. I didn't hit the goals for Agholor's because it was like 150 yards or 3 tds and I value winning over hitting a breakout scenario. The defensive breakout scenarios on the other hand are super easy. For Maddox I just had to get 2 tackles for loss, or 2 forced fumbles, or hold my opponent under 150 yards. I easily hit it because hes my slot corner so the 2 tackles for loss were easy.

Earlier when I said on average I've seen 5 or 6 users a week get breakout scenarios, that's how many on average I see achieve them. We've had even more get them and fall short. Just this week we're in so far we've already had myself and TWO others get an upgrade to superstar for a player. That is just excessive, they need to tone down the frequency that these scenarios are triggered.

People complaining, what are the stats people are achieving to get these scenarios? What player in the real NFL, let say a WR, multiple 100 yd games plus, TDs, only to remain a nobody. The NFL is about production

You are still only able to have three active on each side of the ball in any given game, right?

I don't think that there is a cap on SS/XF players in Franchise mode. The only limitation would be in the eventual difficulty in keeping all those players because of the Salary Cap.

I really don't think its performance based, it seems more random. I got a breakout scenario for Agholor and he's not even my 1st or 2nd leading WR, I use DeSean Jackson and Zach Ertz way more and wasn't coming off of any spectacular performance by him. Maddox I play as my slot CB, he has been getting a ton of tackles and has 3 sacks but only has 1 int and no forced fumbles. Our Chiefs owner got one for Mecole Hardman to upgrade him to superstar and he only has 18 receptions with him for the whole season and we're in week 11. I haven't seen anything that indicates the trigger to these scenarios are performance based, it seems random.

For x factor players I believe there still is that limitation but as far as I know there is no limitation for superstar dev players on either side of the ball.
