The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

Yikes. The Zone abilities are mostly junk. Superstar abilities are where all the power is. At least you can't customize. If you drafted well it wouldn't be too hard to get a secondary where everyone has Zoned Out. Just two outside CBs both with the ability would be nuts. If both safeties and your slot did, too, GG passing LOL.
Just checked our chiefs owner was coming off of a 2 reception for 26 yards followed by a 2 rec 5 yards performance when the game triggered a breakout scenario for him. When I got mine for Agholor I was coming off of 6 rec, 57 yards, 1 td and a 5 rec, 68 yards, 1 td performance when I got the superstar breakout scenario. I have seen nothing to indicate its performance based just seems purely random which is stupid. It's going to absolutely ruin 32 user franchises.
These are just a couple of examples, it's been at least 5-6 teams that get a breakout scenario every week if not more.
I actually haven't seen 1 single breakout scenario since the week following my advance after the patch. Wondering if it seemed like a lot because it was based on performance from earlier in the season. I've had some massive games with dudes too. My RB has gone over 250 with 4 tds multiple times, had multiple defensive guys with a few picks/sacks/forced fumbles.
Seems a lot more balanced than it initially appeared to be.

Are you playing a solo franchise? I'm in a 32 user league and we've had 4 or 5 teams get them a week. Even with the ridiculous amount there are some users that haven't gotten any yet. I've gotten 2, both were in the same week. If you're running a solo franchise maybe that's why you haven't seen any yet, but for 32 user leagues it is out of hand.

Yeah man I'm running solo. That makes sense why that is super annoying though. They should have a frequency slider for 16 & 32 man leagues to prevent that. In a solo I like seeing a few each season if my guys are crushing, but in a league with a ton of people that many would feel unbalanced for sure.
Out of curiosity, how do you guys police that kind of stuff? Like if one team keeps getting scenarios do you have a cap on how many SS and XFactor guys they can get? Or do you just roll with it?
When I was in a 16 man league a couple years back, the guys who weren't as good were so whiny about the good teams having players progress. I can't imagine how much they would complain if they saw good teams getting SS and XFactor guys left and right.

It would definitely be helpful if they added a slider to determine the frequency of these triggering. As of now we are not policing them because it would be a hard thing to watch out for and you don't know if someone has one trigger unless they actually get it. As far as I can tell the breakout scenarios seem pretty random. I'd rather see them change it so a player has to string together multiple good games to trigger one, that would definitely help.
Do the AI controlled teams also get these breakout scenarios?
As far as I know no, but in any of my solo side franchises I've ran I haven't seen that many probably because the team I'm controlling is the only 1 of the 32 teams that can get them. In my online 32 user franchise though it's easily 4 or 5 users a week getting a chance at them.
I turned them off, I don’t want MUT in my franchise
I wouldn't necessarily call breakout scenarios MUT, it can actually be a cool addition to the game and replicate the situations you see in real life where a guy is thrust in to a starting role and turns out to be a star. They just need to figure out a way to better tune the whole thing.
