Salary Question

Will an 85 superstar RB demand more salary than an 85 star RB?

I have Ronald Jones who is currently a Star. I’m on the last year of his contract & I have a Dev upgrade game this week. Do I resign him now or if I upgrade his Dev will his salary request go up?

Re: Salary Question

Doesnt matter. I had Dewayne Haskins ask for the same amount after he went from star, to superstar.

Re: Salary Question

I believe their ask is based on overall only. Players aren't cognizant of whether they have an advanced dev trait (outside of their posing after being picked)

Do you know if they ask more based on legacy score or team success? Because mitchel trubisky got carried to a super bowl by his half back, and defense, and now he wants 117 million.

Not that I'm aware of, what's Trubisky's overall and how many years is that $117m over? If he's low to mid 80s and the deal is over 4 years it's just market value for that level of QB, if it's over 5 it's below market value. QBs are just making obscene money in the NFL right now, either have to swallow that pill or constantly be developing a player on their rookie contract.

The defense and Running back drug him to the playoffs in my franchise and then he somehow strung together three amazing games and won a Super Bowl MVP and is now asking for 5 years 118 million. I think he’s rated a 79

For what its worth, Derek Carr signed a 5 year, 125MM contract in 2017.

Also that sounds very Joe Flacco esque, it only takes one good run and a championship to be set for life.

Yeah Flacco was what came to mind with that scenario. Fortunately I’ve got a full season to decide what to do. The problem is li let my real life disdain bleed in to my franchise so I’m ready to cut ties with Trubisky based on his real world production
