I turned them off to try it, I liked the result. Game played fine, seemed less arcadish aesthetically. Fits my preference.

For me, no doubt about it. Really enjoying the game with those turned off. Great players are still great players and I don't need an icon telling me so.

You need to reset your depth chart when gaining an X-factor or they won't show up. I usually do it from the depth chart menu, not the visual depth chart screen.

My issue is I play with Vikings in franchise and every time Harrison Smith gets a clean hit on the ball carrier the guy fumbles. I have turned cpu fumbles way down but it doesn’t matter. I like the idea but with these issues I am turning them off

The fumbling formula has always worked off of the “Delta” between the Hit Power vs Carry ratings, nothing has changed.
- there’s an increased caused fumbling Win-Chance when Hit Power hits “93”
- if you lower his Hit Power to even “89”, the Star/X will still flash on hit etc..., but ball carrier will not fumble (depending on Delta)

There’s a lot of thoughts tossed around concerning the SS/X-Factors, but the formulas utilizing the ratings are still king in driving what we see during gameplay.

The only thing SS/X-Factors are doing is bringing some context of these under-the-hood Win-Chance/Animation triggering formulas in a style of a Overlay/Badge.

There’s absolutely no User End functionality provided that allows these gameplay formulas to be removed and/or turned off with a Front End toggle.

At the end of the day though, whatever it might take for a person to find some enjoyment/entertainment playing Madden, so be it.

Turn them on. The only ones that could be overpowered are the X-Factors for edge rushers. Even that can be mitigated with double teams, or keeping HBs or TEs in to block, or just having a good OT.

Those mentioning fumble problems, remember you turn the slider up to reduce fumbles! Not down.
