What's happened to the CPU scrambling QBs?
This must've been changed in a recent patch or gameplay tuner. I can't get QBs like Lamar Jackson or Patrick Mahomes to scramble in CFM. They'll just sit in the pocket and take coverage sacks. On a previous build, Jackson was gashing me for huge runs. Now he's just a not very accurate pocket passer.

If it kills it to an unbearable extent uninstall the game and turn your auto update settings off or disregard the option for the current updates when reloading it.
That is pretty wacked, man. smh -

Played Lamar and he didn't leave the pocket once the entire game. Didn't do any QB runs either.
Not sure how they can call their playbooks "Live" if the Ravens don't do designed runs with their QB. There's clearly a big difference between claiming to put real life tendencies into the game and actually doing it.Comment

There used to be a time when you were excited for a patch. You think to yourself "awesome... they fixed so and so issue"
When I saw there was a patch two weeks ago, my reaction was more like I wish they just leave well enough alone at this point.Comment

Re: What's happened to the CPU scrambling QBs?
As much as I loved this year's Madden, this pretty much kills it for me. Dual threat QBs are such an integral part of the game. It defeats the whole purpose of X-factors, or ratings, or traits.
MLB the show is around the corner.Comment

Re: What's happened to the CPU scrambling QBs?
Has it been tested beyond one or two games? Even in older gens of Madden this was an issue here and there. But often times the CPU wouldn't play the QB the right way every game. Some games a scrambler would stay in the pocket. And other games they would break the pocket nearly every play. All with the same QB and team.Comment

What are the chances that EA fixes with two games left until we're officially into the next season?Comment

Re: What's happened to the CPU scrambling QBs?
So i mentioned before about changing the archetype for the QB to scrambling to help, another option to try is create a profile/user the team you are about to play (ravens for example) and change their offensive scheme to one where the QB scheme is scrambling, that also will help a bit.Comment

This is frustrating.
I played Mahommes in my CFM and he was scrambling, I really liked the challenge... was it this most recent patch that broke it again?Comment

Re: What's happened to the CPU scrambling QBs?
In a last ditch effort to hold on to this game, I've played several halves within my franchise by taking control of teams that are on the Ravens schedule. Not ONCE has Lamar Jackson ever scrambled for a run. Maybe once or twice a half he'll run on a read option play. I've tried different difficulty levels, X-factors off/on, and it's the same thing.
This play pretty much sums it up:

Yeah, I'm done. I hope but doubt they're going to fix this this late in the season. What's the incentive to at this point. We're off to Madden 21.Last edited by speedkills; 01-15-2020, 08:53 AM.Comment

Re: What's happened to the CPU scrambling QBs?
I was thinking the same thing the other day. I was playing the Ravens and we play on all-madden. They should have killed me since my team is rebuidling and Lamar never ran once. He passed 40 times and threw 3 INTs. It was actually kind of disapointing to win. I was looking forward to trying to stop himComment

Re: What's happened to the CPU scrambling QBs?
Who on Twitter can we tweet this thread to to make sure they are aware?
They obviously don’t test patches well, so if we can get the right person to see they maybe they can fix it.
Because this is game killing. Dual threat QB’s are a big part of football and if the guy on the cover doesn’t play like he does in real life, what is the point? I don’t want to play a game this unrealistic.
If I can’t even play a football game again until 2021 because they put out another patch that breaks things, it is going to be really frustrating.
And how can we trust they won’t just break Madden 2021?
Man, I wish they tested their game.Comment
