Which Madden has the best franchise mode?

Since M16, I’d also vote 20. If all time, no doubt for me it’s 2008 (especially if on PC and modded).

Madden 08 and Madden 12.
Any fun gained in Madden 20's franchise mode is in spite of it, not because of it.

Probably have to go with Madden 12. The year before they tore it down and gave us CCM/CFM and the XP nonsense.

Madden 20 is probably the best gameplay, but it is far from the best franchise mode. Opinions will vary.

Will have to say Madden 12...at least the last one I played multiple seasons in.

Then again, I could hardly get myself to buy the game at all as of late.

PS2 games had amazing franchise modes as well.

That’s how I feel about this year’s, I’ve gotten deep in my franchise but it’s because I’ve purposely let good free agents I could re-sign walk and I’m constantly jacking up my opponents ratings just to try and even things out

OOTB it's hard to say for me, they are mostly so underwhelming and get boring after a few seasons.

I'm still playing into like season 20 of a franchise on Madden 20 PC, because I have tdawg's progression system and the Revival mod. With those the mode is genuinely interesting deep into a CFM, with true rebuilding phases etc and competitive CPU teams. I've never liked franchise mode as I do this year with those mods.

I think I immediately started a CFM with the release day rosters and advanced like 8 seasons in M20. Most I remember playing in a CFM.

I'd say 20 due to the increased ratings spread in the draft & general roster, as well as the more realistic contract demands. All that adds up to a significant challenge for the user GM in building and maintaining a quality roster.

If they could add in the off-ball INJ that happened to OL in M19, I'd be in hog heaven, but that's my only major gripe w/ CFM in M20.
