Am I missing something or is pass coverage in this game still atrocious?

Is it just me?

Players still too deep in their zones not reacting to the ball until the pass is complete, players in man getting completely turned around by like 3-4 steps on cuts, players in zone being in position to deflect/intercept and literally just not doing anything and letting the pass get caught....like is this not happening to anyone else anymore? Have people figured out how to fix this?

I swear this keeps me from truly enjoying Madden 20. No matter the sliders, the players, the play...the pass defense is just horrible to watch. Does this not bother anyone anymore? How can I get this fixed

Wasn’t my preference, but I lowered CPU QB accuracy way down (like 10 or 15) to get more realistic results. I still get lit up consistently because coverage tends to be lax, but at least I’ll see some missed passes and completion %’s won’t always be 70 and up.

Not seeing this at all on All Madden or All Pro Sim. I even upped their accuracy to 55 and Pass Cov is still dominant. I don't think I've ever had a CPU QB throw for over 300 yards against me. Do you control an LB or Safety?

Yea DBs not reacting while in a zone has been there since day one. Very, very frustrating when it could easily be a pass breakup or int & the DB watches the ball sail over his head

Nope u are not the only one ive recorded a few plays were the Defender is sooo stupid on the pass play and leaves guys wide open, or they react way to late, i mean come on,

ive been doing a all 32 team cpu vs cpu watch season, im in the middle of week 4.. soo trust me i see alot of things, i dont sit and watch every game ill go do something else

Honestly the gameplay is atrocious as a whole.

Pass blocking with blockers ignoring blitzes, run blocking with blockers ignoring defenders, run defense with tacklers running straight into blocks, zone coverage with defenders sitting in their zone and not reacting to the play...

It's EA and it's a long way from being fixed. They are using "legacy code" which means for 20 years EA has been adding to old code instead of rewriting everything that needs improvement. It's basically a 20 year old game with new features like X-Factor Superstars.
