WR jumping for passes

Any way to stop WR jumping for passes, seems like it happens way to much. I can throw a 5yd pass & the WR will jump for no reason to catch the ball, then DB hits him and he drops the ball.

Throwing deep jump balls to big bodied WRs seems pretty nonexistent in this years Madden. It's been legit impossible for me so far. Even Mike Evans is losing jump balls to single coverage 5"11 195 pound CBs. Half the time the WR just stands there and watches the DB make the interception. Absolutely no effort to make the catch. Yet, the DB seems to miraculously turn into a better WR than my WR and make the pick

Every time I throw a jump ball my WR turns in to a volleyball player, it hits him right in the hands and he sets the ball straight up in the air

Re: WR jumping for passes

The August Update weighted Aggressive Catching as the catching animation.

Only non-updated offline play allows players to “run under” or RAC catch with a defender near them.

What catch animation are you doing? Are you leading them? I've only seen guys jump on Aggressive Catch Animations

Hes talking about where both CPU/User Pass catchers will jump to catch where they should clearly just run-through (RAC) the catch while still sprinting.

When you try to lob/touch pass with the defender in a Trail position, the WR will auto jump and slow down the WR.

I gotcha. I haven't seen that.
