Madden Dreams...

A long time fan of the Madden Franchise going back to the original game. Have seen it evolve over the years. I admit that I stopped buying new games after Madden 25, partly because it was the last game connected to a college football game (NCAA 14).

With the current lockdown, I pulled the game out again. It is my substitute for no sports. It got me daydreaming about what my "ultimate" game would look like. Before you say it, I know, I have way too much time on my hands.

So, um, here goes...

Suggestions
1 We match any city and any team names
2 EA can create array of logos, or we can " Teambuilder"
3 We pick uniform colors
4 We pick uniform styles
5 We pick location type (city , country, etc)
6 We design new stadiums or use classic ones
7 Classic stadiums would have new team logos
8 We can expand up to 40 teams
9 Bring back CPU vs CPU (though I have become a decent kicker)
10 Synchronize with NCAA 14 draft class (or when EA brings back NCAA...)
11 Bring back Senior Bowl
12 NFL Combine activities
13 Deeper coaching staffs
14 Retired players as coaches
15 Career playoff stats
16 Aerial stadium views for custom stadiums
17 AI kickers not so automatic
18 Actual players on sidelines, not genetic cutouts
19 No upside down midfield logos
20 Career stats that teams played for
21 Team-specific introductions, option create them
22 West region games played with correct sunlight
23 Deeper, more varied commentaries
24 Acknowledgement of season/career records being broken
25 Female team owners

Re: Madden Dreams...

Dude, you have WAY too much time on your hands... but we're in the midst of a pandemic. We all do!!!

I can tell you right now that you're going to get a ton of responses related to "the NFL won't allow it" because it hurts their brand. Because yeah... creating a team called the Ireland Celtics is absolutely ok, but if I wanted to create the Orlando Celtics... yeah, that will damage it.

I personally don't really buy into the "the NFL won't allow it" theory. I don't think I've ever heard anyone from the NFL say "we won't allow it" but it is always coming from EA. Very convenient to hide behind "they won't allow it" to not have to do something.

Interesting that only the NFL has this "branding" issue, isn't it? The NBA, NHL, even baseball is cool. When did the NFL change?

Re: Madden Dreams...

CPU vs CPU is still in the game. You have to press super-sim from the play call menu or pause menu, then set it to SLOW so you can see what is being simmed. cdcool does sliders for 15min CPU vs CPU games here:

Not sure what year they added it. Maybe not.
