Watched one match yesterday. One dude ram the ball every time. He was down 16-0 in the fourth and kept trying to run. And he got stuffed every time. Kept waiting for a pass play but nope. Stretch and dive every play.

Are you serious? That is the worst thing you can do when down in the fourth quarter. Like I know its Madden but that is just ridiculous.

I have to think EA is embarrassed by how these guys play. That should be their motivation to fix the game if nothing else.

The guy who won the Madden Bowl didn't throw a single pass the entire TOURNAMENT. Not only that but he played a punter at QB half the time for quicker handoff animations.

The tournament consisted of constant nano blitzes. The same plays over and over again on both sides of the ball. Constant glitchy motion and hot route adjustments...

Just terrible to watch.

I have a feeling they love it. I wonder what the ratings were.

I watched the entire tournament. Yes it's probably sad to admit this. But before heading to bed there really isnt much on and this was a decent taste of competition. Plus I was interested to seeing how excatky these guys play.

Thoughts:
1. EA never wants these events to play out like a real football game. Why else would they allow (and not only allow but make them super effective) Calvin Johnson to play Safety, Joe Thomas be a wr.

2. The abilities are hit and miss for me. It's cool to have stars do star like things but they should be a little more realistic

3. EA should really allow another company to obtain the license to make a franchise mode and be more realistic. EA has done a poor job keeping up with CFM and I get it. It's not a money maker. And they have a done a pretty decent job with MUT and catering to the tournament crowd. The game doesnt play like real life but credit these gamers. They made adjustments not only in game but between games. It was actually interesting. If I was EA I would go all in(even more) on these events and the game mode and let someone else go after the sim crowd.

I teach HS and most of my students hardly play madden anymore to begin with and the ones that do are all about MUT.
These kids dont want to play an hour plus game, scouting college players, developing rookies, watching a wrap up show, etc. They want to get in, play, and get out.

So basically I am saying there should be 2 separate games. Franchise and competitive. and I an not sure EA can or wants to handle both satisfactorily so we as CFM players are getting the short end of the stick because of the competitive madden community.
