Gives me Madden 25 @E3 vibes (living worlds, war in the trenches, true step, a billion calculations a second, lol). I'm not getting excited until I see real game-play in action!

Re: Madden NFL 21 Next-Gen Trailer - (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X)

Watched it live then watched the trailer over, at least hoping for a 4K one but nope.

At any rate, it definitely reminded me of those old 2 trailers, the one with Strahan and the one with RG3, to the point I had a mini text rant to one of my dudes about it. Tbh, the RG3 trailer actually looked better than this crap.

Even Fifa 21 looked like ****. The close up of the one player was a head scratcher because it look3d current gen as hell.

I think they went heavy with the HDR, as well. Looked darker than it should have. The stills on their site look better, especially of Brady from the back (pause).

This was a huge let down, once again. That's twice in 2 days, EA. The PC thing to say is I'll wait to get some more gameplay footage and some hands on prior to a POTENTIAL purchase but I'm just burnt out on Madden just not living up to what I expect..

Last yr I nearly skipped it after being underwhelmed with what I they presented but word of mouth from the beta then hands on with early access changed my mind...yet I've barely played the 20 after purchase. This has been a trend for about the last decade or so. I'm tired.

Thing is though, even what I saw in the trailer didn't look all that impressive. We knew the graphics would be improved, but that brief glimpse of Lamar sprinting looked as stiff as current gen. We didn't see any transitions between animations, which is a big reason why Madden hasn't looked all that good in motion. Finally as someone else said, Brady's undershirt looks 100% painted on still.

For a next gen trailer, let me see a bubble screen executed lol

^^^ this

The Madden art team has never been the issue. Madden always looks amazing in screen shots. As soon as it starts moving is when the disaster strikes. Nothing looked good to me in that trailer, but then again, it's the same story, different year. Everything always sounds good. There will be visible sweat now, but no refs on the field, no realistic injury system, players warp into place, procedural awareness sucks, shifting and jerky player movement, bad AI, etc. Once again, they love to make a wedding cake made out of frosting only.

That's how they do it over there.

After playing football games for 35+ years I gave it up 2 years ago. I bought every madden along with every other football game from 1989 until 2000. Skipped Madden from 2000 to 2010, came back for an online league from 10 to 18 and then quit and have had zero interest in madden. It's been horrible. I'd gladly come back if they'd earn my business, but they do nothing of the sort. As soon as they can give me at least everything I had 3 consoles ago, then I'd consider it, but they can't even do that right. This will probably be no different. A bunch of fantastic marketing spins and then tell us that they "overshot". Just like Clint said about Living Worlds and the 50 calculations per second bull****.

Anyone who believes any of this crap without actually seeing it or playing it is a salesman's dream client.

Kind of figured this with the Mahomes promo earlier saying "It's not about what you can see but what you can feel".

The spalialized audio sounds nice to immerse you in the game even more, however all of this means nothing if the gameplay doesn't show improvement
