Re: Madden 21 Next Gen Details

This is a Fifa 21 screen, I think Madden will do the same. So no mention of the Next-Gen game for PC, I think there won't be for this year.

Re: Madden 21 Next Gen Details

Gives me Madden 25 @E3 vibes. I'm not getting too excited until I see real game-play in action!

Re: Madden 21 Next Gen Details

As always, I'll hold some healthy skepticism until actual gameplay is shown, but so far things generally look promising. The points about "stats-driven player movement", "exquisite player detail", and "gameday immersion" could greatly benefit the Madden experience if implemented properly.

A few things still look somewhat wonky, though. For instance, Brady's undershirt still has that "painted-on" look we've complained about for years, and in that tunnel shot, some of the Packers have goofy-looking shoulder pads (namely King and Taylor).

Going back to the Brady screenshot again, it'd be great if Tiburon could give some attention to scoreboards over the course of the next generation, adding game information, stats, and possibly even a feed of the game from the broadcast angle. MLB: The Show's done this for years. IMO, that would greatly benefit stadium authenticity and immersion.

Re: Madden 21 Next Gen Details

Lambeau Leap is back! Apparently it took the power of next gen consoles to do it.

In motion, the Lamar Jackson run actually looks good, it’s the atmospheric fog, camera angle just makes it feel new generation but like everyone’s said before, we’ve been burned. Lately Madden has looked visually good, it’s the movements and animations variety that have lacked.

All of this sounds generic and underwhelming. Everything listed could have been done this gen, especially on PC.

Normally games are developed with the lowest common denominator in mind. Pcs will get better graphical fidelity, shorter load times etc but usually are the same game more or less. (Not accounting for mods) it's not very cost effective having two teams working on the same game. If one version was a lot better it make the other version feel less worth it to buyers since they would feel like they bought an inferior product.
