Re: Madden 21 Current Gen Gameplay Deep Dive

Looks like instant wins are still present so I don’t feel they really resolved what they need to there.

I liked the tackling update but it doesn’t really resolve the physics/overriding canned animations.

Doesn’t sound like players reaching with the ball will be contextual and doesn’t answer questions it creates as far as players being more prone to fumbling.

“Physics based animations when throwing” stood out to me. Is this strictly taking effect in passing situations or is it something through out all gameplay?

Pursuit doesn’t seem any better.

AI and particularly CPU QB AI are still a big question.

Guess we’ll see what the deep dive brings us on Thursday.

This is where I'm also at with my lot in life.

The honey-do list keeps evolving, too.

I also agree that other areas should improve and new features added.

It’s not ludicrous at all. He said “looks”. And I think that’s a fair thing to say.

I mean APF’s gameplay still looks much better in every way. And it’s really not even close.

While I’m sure they’ve made many improvements to things “behind the scenes” it still hasn’t translated to much improved gameplay. It still has that Xbox era feel to it. Which isn’t a good thing. Considering Ps2 era maddens were much better than their 360 era counterparts.

I just hope we have the choice of which direction we’re doing our d line moves and not just choosing which move. Being able to choose a spin move does me no good if they’re spinning the opposite of where I want to go half the time

This could be a comment straight out of 2013. How long do we wait?

This is definitely a way better video, as others have said. Excited to see more gameplay and see how it feels. Hoping that this is a sign of things to come. It’s not perfect as there were still issues present but shoot, I’ll take any progress as good news at this point.

100% disagree as APF a 360/PS3 game still looks better than what they’ve shown of Madden 21 thus far.

I remember it being in either NCAA or Madden madden one year and it was awesome. You could really set up moves by starting the rush outside the ripping or swimming back inside, it was the most fun I’ve ever had controlling a pass rusher.
