Possible new franchise mode in Next Gen Madden?

The single worst thing to Franchise mode was making it "Connected" and making it an online experience.

I feel like they've had issues in this regard, to add new features and make it all work as a multiplayer experience.

My only hope for this mode is that they disconnect it from online to bring back all of the old features it used to have. Definitely not holding my breath though lol.

Pretty much what everyone else has said..Franchise is dead.

I think it will have the exact same mode that current gen has, nothing more and nothing less. The name tells you what they think of it. Face of the Franchise is the future, "Classic Franchise" is old and irrelevant. It's your dad's rusty 60s Mustang that he keeps swearing he'll fix up one day, but you know it will never happen. It still runs, but it's never going to be restored to it's former glory.

I wished they cared about the mode but honestly they have me wondering if it'll be on the next gen version at all. They view face of the franchise as the new franchise mode and it just isn't.

Next gen is probably just going to be a port that is upgraded in mostly graphical areas, so classic franchise will likely be the exact same on it. We've heard nothing of the game being built from the ground up on next gen, so it is safe to assume it is the current gen version with more bells and whistles. Since the consoles have all moved to the same architecture, it's never been easier to transition to the new gen, or even port to PC. The consoles this current gen and next gen use the same architecture as PCs, so that's why it's been easier to port games between consoles or to PC and vice versa.

I agree, stop tormenting yourself if you do. Until proven otherwise, franchise mode is extinct in their eyes. If they ever decide to give us the franchise mode we want, that’s when they’ll get my money.

There is zero chance. Madden and EA have shown us what they think of franchise mode. They trolled us with those patch notes Tuesday. Nothing is happening with franchise.

RIP Madden franchise. You have me some good years a long time ago but it’s time to say goodbye.

No, especially for a first iteration of the next gen or a new game engine. Madden tends to be buggy (Madden 06/25 new gen), Madden (19) when implementing a new engine or console since they primarily focus the engine itself. Plus EA doesn't care about franchise. You're better off be surprised that they update franchise on next gen, then having hope that they actually will.
