Is Gameplay or Franchise more important to you?

If either gameplay or franchise were great, I could overlook the problems with the other. The problem is that both are very flawed.

Gameplay gets me to pick it up. Franchise makes me keep playing it. I would say franchise is more important to me. It gives the game longevity. So I would be 75% franchise 25% gameplay. I enjoy the off the field stuff way more than on the field action.

Why should I have to pick? Both are 100 percent important. Splitting half and half takes one away from the other.

Is this a general question or is it about which improvements to the game are more important? Generally speaking gameplay is more important, it’s the foundation of the game. When it comes to making improvements franchise is more important to me. I can get by with the current gameplay, I can’t say that for franchise mode. You hit a dead end after about five years where all the teams are more or less the same

Gameplay is usually more important but I'd argue it's in a much better place right now compared to where Franchise is at.

Franchise needs to be the focus for the next couple of years. Madden 22's trailer should just be 2 minutes of Franchise Mode features.

Gameplay is supreme for me. I can make franchise mode work for me....but when you have brain dead CPU AI it simply does not matter how awesome the franchise features are. You gotta want to play game after game after game.

They need to completely revamp CPU AI to make the game viable.

The AI has barely improved since the PS2 era. And in many ways has gone backwards.
