Any ideas on when we start the 10 hours of game play on EA Early Access?

I keep hearing Aug 21st. Which is confusing, because I cant remember if it's usually 3 days prior to the real release date, or 3 days prior to the early release for preorders...if that ever was a thing.

It's always been late Wednesday night or Thursday. So late on the 19th or 20th. We have this discussion every year.

How does EA Early Access work exactly?

You can download the full game early but can only play it for 10 hours? Then you wait until release date to continue?

Forgive my ignorance. I've never used it before.

EA/Origin Access (which is now "EA Play" to make it even more confusing

), starts on the 21st. It is a 10 hour trial of the full game. It doesn't matter if you have a preorder or not - you need a subscription to one of the services to use it.

The 3 day early access is for the MVP edition preorder, and there is no time limit.
