Madden 21 requires an internet connection

In order to access the Yard, Face of The Franchise, Superstar KO and MUT(obviously) requires an active internet connection. An offline player or players with a bad connection are locked out of 80% of the game. The options for offline are CFM and exhibition. I get that this is a small demographic but people such as myself who have super unreliable internet are basically paying for 20% of the game. Who thought this was a good idea to make so much of it needing internet to actually play?

Wow face of the franchise requires online? The other modes were kind of expected. But I would have thought face of the franchise could be played offline. That kinda sucks if anyone was planning on trying to mod it on PC.

I coulda swore it was said that that the yard could be played on and offline.

I thought this too. I know side by side co-op isn't as popular these days but this still would have been nice to have with the holidays coming up.

Well if you're playing the trial then yes you have to be online. That's EA access In a nutshell.

This really should be a bigger issue that people are discussing. The fact that you need to be online to access a good portion of the game is absurd. MUT and online competitive play I get, but a single player mode like Face of the Franchise should not need an online connection. I think there should be an offline component to the Yard too...
