"A"-Button Glitch?

Played three games of Madden 21 on Xbox One between yesterday and tonight. In each game there were multiple occasions where my QB threw to the TE (A- receiver) as soon as the ball was snapped without me attempting to make such a pass.
Initially noticed the glitch while practicing, but wasn't sure that it would carry over into the games, which it subsequently did.
I tried 4 different controllers, all of which are quite functional, and it continued to happen irrespective of the controller that was used. What is causing this problem? Is my version of the game defective?

Okay, I was not crazy. The same thing happen on several plays and it was on crucial down.

EA please fix this.

This was happening to me during the EA Access pre-release period but I have not seen it since the game launched.

Bringing this back to the front as I was playing my friend HTH online and it happened to him at least three times in each game. It cost him a game in one instance.

He chooses a passing play. At the point where he hikes the ball, the QB immediately throws to the A receiver without a button press from the user.

Anyone else seeing this. Is EA even aware of the issue?

They said in the August 31 Gridiron Notes that this would be fixed in the next Title Update which they are targeting to release around September 10.

Three patches and this glitch still hasn't been fixed. Smh. EA should be ashamed. They have an entire year to work on this game, with unlimited access to beta testers, and every year they release the game with more bugs and glitches than the previous year.
EA needs to fix the game play and stop adding in all of the crap that they add every year to attract new customers. Fixing game play will make it easier to attract new customers. Show some loyalty to us shmoes that shell out our hard earned money for this product every year.

I have downloaded every update and there is still no fix for this anomaly. When the ball is snapped, the QB immediately throws the ball to the TE. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it twice. Still, the glitch persists. Makes it impossible to play the game with any measure of confidence when you call a play in a crucial game situation and then wait, with dread, for this glitch to kick in and throw an interception when you had no intentions of throwing to that receiver. SMFH. Unacceptable!!!!!!!!!

Yep this is a game killer. Some say don’t view the play art or don’t hot route and it will prevent the insta passing. This is not the case, as I’ve tested it many times and it continues to happen randomly.
