CPU Qb taking unnecessary sacks after latest patches??

When I first played this game without patches, the cpu qb threw away the ball at appropriate moments, got sacked in plays where the dlibe busted through. Looked good and was realistic.

Lately, what Ive seen is when my defenders are defending the receivers well, the Cpu QB will sometimes jusy backpeddle until getting sacked while having ALL DAY to either take a higj risk deep shot or throw it away. I get like 2-3 sacks a game like this.

Anyone notice this?

This actually happened before the patch. This was one of my first complaints about the game.
I had games where the cpu/ai QB would sit in the pocket for extended periods of time, the qb would take the sack even though no receiver was open, or he had a clear running lane.

I didn't notice this happening near as much before these latest patches as I have since. Now, it did happen, but not with the frequency I am seeing it post patches. I have even edited the QB BCV to maybe help them see the running lanes when they are there to no avail.

Feels like a step back in this aspect of CPU ability

Nah this is EA saying "if It's In The Game, It's In The Game", look at what Trubisky did yesterday in the 4th on that play that lost 28 yards.

No. I am still seeing them get rid of the ball as soon as I shed my block with a pass rush move

I am also, rarely have they been non decisive, and usually stuck in pocket and no where to go.

It was still in the game pre-patch although no way as felonious as it was last year. It's been few and far in between and appears to be dependent on the QB. I had not seen it in any of my Franchise games up until I played against Drew Lock and the Bronco's and he did it twice.

This is highly dependent on QB traits and so will vary considerably from game to game depending on which QB you play against

Not seeing this at all. No offense but this seems to be a weekly thing with the same folks bringing up a so called game breaking issue that the majority don't experience.

Serious question, is it all quarterbacks, one, 5 or ten. have you played at least 5 teams and seen this happen?

They adjusted this in patches after feedback from competitive players that sacks weren't frequent enough due to the new lame duck/inaccurate throws out of sack. They're still there but a lot less than they were

CPU QBs in my franchise aren’t like this, they aren’t scared to take off and run, they get rid of the ball quickly, and are deadly accurate for the most part. Patch 3, I hate for the CPU, they made the CPU go back to running slants and stagger curls anytime they need a conversion. Patch 2 was seemingly perfect on my end. I had to watch out for any QB taking off to run if nothing was open and they didn’t run cheese routes all the time, they just genuinely made good plays and you felt like they did. This patch for me feels like launch, I just feel like I’m getting cheesed no matter what D I run as far as passing goes, I intentionally user my D so that the cpu has better running lanes

Yeah I kinda wish qbs would throw it away more or actually just be more mobile in the pocket. Most qbs now are just standing in the pocket the whole time. Before the patch I saw more qb scrambles
