Sub LB
I’m going thru depth charts in my Franchise, I just don’t know which teams use LBs and which teams use Ss in that spot.

Re: Sub LB
It should be determined by the formation, not their position on the depth chart.
If you put a safety in a middle linebacker you’re going to see them as the middle linebacker in a base package and I don’t think you want that.Comment

Re: Sub LB
Football Outsiders and other outfits do personnel analysis at the end of each season. A quick Google search and you should be able to find out just how often each team uses 5 DBs vs. 6.Comment

Re: Sub LB
I'm not aware of any service (at least not any free service) that will show you which teams do this and how often. You're not really asking what their package tendencies are, but how often they use safeties in a linebacker role. It's a very specific question. I think you might try PFF's advanced service or watch a few games on gamepass All 22 tbh.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

Re: Sub LB
Sub LB is for pass defense formations, the regular lb charts are for base downs. As an example, one move I like to do is to put Jordan Poyer as my 3rd Sub LB. Then on the 3-3-5, sometimes I will swap out Josh Norman at SS and Poyer will automatically pop up as one of the backers.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

Re: Sub LB
Yeah guys SUB LB applies to mostly Nickel and Dime formations, not base. Not sure what some of you are saying but SUB LB is subpackage LB, again nickel/dime. Someone put a spreadsheet together for Madden 20 I saw on here I'm sure it's mostly the same for 21, it lists the formations and each position. Whether it uses sub lb or mlb for example. Whether it uses rush RE or normal RE for example
I do think 43 wide 9 used subpackage personnel in Madden 20 but other than that it's nickel, dime, dillarComment
