Setting Playbook

Can you set a generic offensive and defensive playbook when creating your custom coach and also in your profile so it automatically becomes your playbook for your franchise games or do you have to choose it before every game

Nope, got to set it before every game. One of my peeves. Wish you could set it inside franchise like you used to be able to.

I’ve always said that this would be such a welcome addition, instead of trying to use work arounds....The ability to set a custom playbook for team/teams in franchise would be a game changer.

I don’t have many complaints with the game but this is one of them. But I think a custom user made playbook will save.

I only play with custom playbooks. Once you select your playbooks in the advanced options menu during controller select, it keeps that playbook as your default. Same goes for practice mode. I set my preferred playbook once and it’s always selected for both modes.

You don’t have to re-select your playbook for every franchise game.

The downside is, you can't set formation subs from the franchise menu unless a playbook with that form in it is part of the playbook assigned to the coach on the scheme menu.

Nope. Another feature that was in the game last gen and now gone.

Does anybody know if you use a generic offensive playbook are they still tied to the 4-3 D? So even if you use a 3-4 D playbook it will show it as a 4-3 in the starting lineups. I have a real ocd about that
