Do commentators say names for generated draft class players?

Mildly off-topic but there’s no sense in multiple threads about commentary .....

You know what’s missing from commentary? Any f*ing mention at all about how the team is debuting a new head coach/GM.

That is THEEEE STORY when you first start franchise. Entirely new regime? New owner? New HC/GM guy? Nothing could be a bigger deal for a football team.

Never even a single mention.

Let's clear this up once and for all.

If you edit a player's name in Madden 21 for XBONE or X/S the commentators will NOT say their name.

They will still say common names of offensive drafted players if you don't edit either the first or last name.

In Madden 20 you could edit names and they'd still be said in the game.

People that say they've edited names in 21 and the commentators said that name are either confused, lying, or have a magic copy of Madden 21.

I wish I was wrong because this is one of my big frustrations with M21.

When my rookie d-lineman got injured, he was mentioed by the commentators i.e. "Oh no, Peterson is still down" or something to that effect.

Has anyone figured out a way to get the announcers to say the rookies names from generated draft classes? If you edited their name before or after the draft

So far there is no way if you edit the name. I was hoping this would change but of course EA let’s us down. I don’t understand how in 20 you could. I even tried with madden 21 on the PS5. Nothing so I’m back playing 20

So just to be clear as long as you don’t touch the rookies name they say it. But what if you change only the first name will they still say the last name?
