Good to see Brian from Forbes put out some articles questioning this:

It does feel like they are trying to stay out of NBA 2ks way as they would know they'll be torn to shreds if it's just a new coat of paint for next gen.

Eric Rayweather has also said in a couple of his videos that he has heard that EA has put the majority of resources into next gen and that there are rumours of a partial rebuild. It would explain why so many bugs have been in the current gen version.

Lol good point. I do feel like this year was so much worse though.

I'd love to see a rebuild of AI. Given the more powerful CPU in the new console it should be able to be achieved but I doubt they will

I don’t think it’s coming for launch. This will most likely be delayed for a couple of weeks. We haven’t hear anything at all lately.

I havent really worried much about the silence and I've even been trying to be optimistic but a harsh reality has creeped in. I cant think of a time where EA surprised me for the good. Ie where they were tight lipped and then blew me away. In fact I think most of us could agree if anything they are usually on the over promise under deliver side of things. For them not hyping this at all has to be worrisome.
