We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Now that we know their release date is 5 1/2 weeks away I'd assume we shouldn't expect a trailer for another 2-3 weeks or so.
Would be nice to know if we can play the current version on our next gen system up until that release date... everything is backwards compatible for xbox so i would assume we could but who knows with EA.
I think you're right when it comes to the trailer, but not the game. EA doesn't seem to care about having a quality game in comparison to other games, but they have proven that marketing is their #1 focus this year. I would think that they probably took some notes on that 2K trailer and they'll want to give the illusion that they're creating a similar experience for their games on next gen so the trailer will look sick even if the game doesn't live up to it... stop me if that sounds familiar lol
1) A two week delay will NOT change much. But I guess it's a complainers' paradise. Release the game early and you get made that they released a "broken game" Delay the release then we will complain that they can't get anything right
2) No. The NFL is not paying close attention. All the NFL cares about is "did the check clear." Your best hope is that the NFL comes to its senses and open up the license to whomever is willing to pay for it. I am not sure where this foolish idea of "too many licenses hurts our brand."
Even then, do you really think 2k can dust off all their old equipment and make a game that will make you go "ooo and ahhh" after being out of business for 15 years? Gotta learn to temper your expectations.

Can’t be much worse than some of the stuff EA has released the past 15 years tho right?
If 2k got a fair shot, I’m fairly certain it would be atleast on par with what Madden has served up.

You gotta learn to not be so negative. There's no reason to bash people for speaking there OPINIONS. That said, you don't know what the NFL is looking at quality wise just like the rest of us. It's all a guess at this point.
BTW there isn't a delay, they never said it'd be a release day title and also, its almost a 4 week wait.
I believe we assumed Smart Delivery and dual entitlement was the same? But they are different, from what I've seen Smart Delivery is basically a next gen patch but I'm not sure what exactly what Dual Entitlement is. Could it be two different games in which you get one at no extra cost?

Just means if you buy it on current gen your entitled to that same ownership next gen.
The new versions of the games will, according to a press release, add "blazing fast load times, the most realistic, fluid player movement ever in EA SPORTS titles, authentic game day experiences inside stadiums and new player detail unlocked by deferred rendering and lighting." The PS5 versions will also add haptic feedback using the DualSense controller.
