Been seeing alot of the "Trap" play lately. I wanted to explain the mechanics of the play & how you should ACTUALLY run it in-game! If you have any more info & insight on how the play works please let me know what information I may need.

a defensive trap play is just a play with a vertical hook instead of a normal yellow zone...

a offensive trap play is a pulling guard run. You want to run it vs over front with the guard pulling towards the 1 tech.

I think it's the opposite, you want the pulling guard to attack the 3 tech

Might be able to get it to work against a 3-4 D, on the opposite side of a stacked formation.

Line play is too inept to run this effectively with any consistency.
