I was watching one of Sports Gamer Online's video previews and he mentioned that in the gameplay he saw that when the offense is on the field, you see defensive players on the sidelines, And vice versa. He said you'll see the actual players, and not generic ones. Now I may have misunderstood what he said, but I'm pretty sure that's what i heard.

Even in the OS review it said something similar

"That is all about to change with next gen as now you will see an accurate and realistic number of players waiting their turn to hit the field, and if the offense is in action, you will see your team’s defense and backups realistically depicted on the sidelines. Not only will all the real starters and backups be seen roaming the white stripe, but you will also see some with eyes on the field, some will be watching game replays on devices and some will be huddled together talking.

To go even deeper in detail, along with all the real players in greater detail, you will see sideline equipment that matches what you see in a real game. There are benches for sitting, tables for stretching, players moving independent of each other and different types of personnel now roaming the sidelines."

Not sure it was actually visible in the trailer

Yeah I don't think it was visible in the trailer. I'm not a hardcore Madden player. I get it every year and I play franchise but not to the extent of most of y'all. I like what I saw in the trailer and I'm excited to see it in action.

When are they going to add Sexy NFL Cheerleaders?

They could look great on PS5 and X Box Series X lol

Super stoked for all this. A lot of the stuff I try to get right with sliders should be improved with the next gen stats driving player movement.

Re: Madden NFL 21 Next-Gen Gridiron Notes

Got excited when it said next gen play calling as I was hoping for new plays, and defensive tier play calling.

Got neither. Disappointing as expected

Cross-gen and cross platform are very very different beasts to tackle. Cross gen is about xbox working with xbox and ps with ps, cross platform is them working together and historically PS is not a fan of that at all. It would be great to have, but PS needs to cooperate to make it possible. There aren't many games that have actually made it happen.

Not much about CPU AI which might be a letdown. It's still one area where Madden is still so far behind and as an offline gamer that could really continue to hurt it's product.
