Update-after reinstalling the game it has updated and is working!

Thanks for all the input. Anybody else with the same issue should try it. Don’t bother to contact EA support, because if I took their advice, which was to just “wait”, who knows if it ever would have updated.

Having the exact same issue on PS5. What order did you go in? Install ,update ps4 version then look for ps5 version or what exactly? Thanks!

Needing this same advice. Just got back from an all nighter at Walmart and got PS5 and Madden 21 PS4 and want to avoid the conflicts everyone is having. Seem the dual entitlement is a bit of a mess!

Same issue for me with the PS5. Created an account here as this is the only place that has people with seemingly the same problem. I'm at the end of my rope already. Played the trial as it installed, then got the servers unavailable error then could not get the upgrade to install. Always wants to install the trial. Maddening. No pun intended?
