5th yr option

It has seem to have gone away in my franchise I should have got one for Hollywood and I didn't anyone else have this problem

I still get them. What year is it for Hollywood? His 5th year would be the 2022 offseason, on Madden. A few guys might be bugged, but it's there, generally speaking.

Yeah I'm in 23 I had to resign him to a long term contract no 5 yr option

Not sure then. Was he traded for? That might impact the 5th year option, as it alters the original deal with the signing bonus.

I'm wondering if 5th year options are not the way to go on a player you want to keep long term. It seems as though it would be better to resign a guy this year to the long term deal, as opposed to taking the 5th year option and resigning him next year- when he will probably be that much better and be asking for more money. Not sure if I'm missing something with this.
