    Breakout player stat requirements

Is there a list anywhere that shows the required stats for each position and tier for breakout player scenarios?

I just got one for my mlb to become and x-factor. He had 3 tfl's, a sack, an int, a ff, and a fr but it said it wasn't good enough. Would be nice to have a chart to refer to next time I get a scenario as I know I won't remember what the requirements are.

That definitely should have been enough. I had one time where I just manually edited the player to SS because they didn’t give me the upgrade that I deserved.

Yeah I guess I'll do that.

I also had a breakout for my starting wr, and got him his SS. At the end of the season he lead the league in catches, yards, and was secomd in TDs. He was voted best wr and made the probowl... But still got knocked back down to star.

I had an XF OLB... Was 3rd in defensive player of the year voting, had 4 ints (4-3 coverage lb), 6 sacks, 4 ffs, 1 fr, and a td.

He got bumped from XF to Star. No idea why. He had about 100 tacklés but the dude is a playmaker. How do you almost win DPOY but get bumped from XF to Star?

Similar thing happened to me with Trey Lance once. He starts as a superstar. He had a phenomenal first season as a starter and got bumped up to X-Factor. Then he immediately went down to star for the next season. Pretty annoying. I'm thankful for the ability to manually edit players, at least.

I don't mind that stuff in theory. Sometimes guys really do seem like they're about to break out and become great, only to find out that performance was an aberration. But it kinda sucks when you drop two full levels, though.

Awards don't matter for end-of-season dynamic dev trait. Only where your player ranks among peers at his position using end-of-season statistics matters.

See this guide for the thresholds required to achieve or maintain each dev trait at the end of the season. It sounds like your linebacker didn't have enough (tackles / TFLs / sacks) or (deflections / interceptions).

The guide is for Madden 21, but I assume that the cut-offs for Madden 22 are very similar.

Keep in mind that there are set maximums for each dev trait and that has an impact here. The league will rebalance at the end of each regular season and has a random element to it.
