Spiking the ball not counting as incompletion

I just had a 2 minute drive at the end of the first half with no timeouts left and had to spike the ball 3 times. So I check the halftime stats and my QB is 10/11. Pretty annoying.

spikes don’t count toward individual quarterback stats, they’re usually listed as team stats

Taking a knee does count against QB rushing stats right? I never thought about it but Madden counts it as rushing attempt.

In my opinion, spikes and kneels shouldn't count against a QB in real life either.

It does. In CFB, sometimes it gets listed as a team stat as well. But it’s definitely a rushing attempt in the NFL.

Unfortunately, he is incorrect. Spikes most certainly count as incompletions in the NFL. So, the game has it wrong.

"Some NFL stat sites will retroactively remove them from their figures for various adjusted passing statistics, but in terms of baseline QB numbers completions and attempts, yes a spiked ball is an incomplete pass."
