Does EA still have the ESPN license?

I haven't heard anything about renewing the license.

When they did the 15 year agreement in 2005, it started in 2006. So, I would have to imagine it is due to expire this year.

But, usually these types of deals don't just lapse. Usually you see them extend it a year or two prior. Like with the NFL license, they extended it, I think, 2 years prior to it expiring. I think EA has an ESports partnership with ESPN. But, I have to imagine they renew it. But nowadays deals like they are made public.

But, EA doesn't fully utilize the ESPN license. Besides NBA Live and College games, it feels like they mainly use it for advertising

I believe some of the College Football PR stuff from last week mentioned that that partnership was continuing.

I recall reading that when it comes to Madden, specifically, EA is very insistent on pushing their own branding via the broadcast package. So while future College Football and NBA Live games might continue to use ESPN branding and assets, Madden probably won't.
