He retired in 2015 in my franchise.

The world is a much better place.

Re: Tom Brady's retirement

I saw him as a back up on Green Bay to Jordan Love lol. He was like a 65 overall at that point. I like to scroll through my opponents depth charts to check out opposing rookies and strengths/weaknesses. I was shocked to see he was still in the league. It was either 24 or 25 season.

How did you pull that off? Still playing Madden 25?

Was arguing with a Packer fan who tried to argue that Rodgers was the real GOAT, but he just hasn't had the help on defense that Brady has.

So I asked him why Rodgers hasn't taking multiple way-below market value contracts to get more talent on the team like Brady has.

The answer, of course, is that the GOAT takes less money so he can win more.

The defense, sure, but look at the weapons or lack thereof that Brady had in his early superbowl wins. Deion Branch? Kevin Faulk?

What's absolutely insane is Brady's career after he turned 40 would be considered Hall of Fame. An all-time great for sure, but see if Aaron Rodgers will be playing at this level at 43-years-old let alone in the league.

GOAT

For a split second I read that as he was 65 years old. He still "doesn't suck."

GOAT
Also Troy Brown.

Not spectacular weapons, but not garbage. And his defense early on WAS elite. That really can’t be denied. Richard Seymour, Ty Law, Teddy Bruschi, Roman Phifer, Lawyer Milloy, Mike Vrabel, Larry Izzo, Willie McGinest, Rodney Harrison, Ted Washington, Ty Warren, etc.

These were some VERY good players on VERY good defenses.

So Brady had help. Early on he would manage the game and make key conversions and key late game plays. Around 2004 to 2006 or so he became the focal point. Then from 2007 on he was clearly and inarguably top 3-5 and has been since.
