Reducing every rating by 10

Ratings only impact win-chances (Delta differences) and what bucket animations can/will be pulled from, not how they run.

Both Delta and animation triggering operate from much larger gaps than 10pt so it would be a waist of time if you’re expecting some gameplay and/or animation quality improvement.

If you do this you need to take a scientific methods approach. What differences are you hoping to see? It's hard to quantify "sluggish" or "more smooth." Then you need to do a baseline. Play game Eagles vs Jets or whatever. Then Lower the ratings by ten for one team. Then lower it for the team. Then lower for both. Record what you what you see. If you see differences then go from there with different teams.

Seems like a lot of work but if you have the time then go for it

I think I read that changes in animation triggering happen when delta is 25 or more?

With my experiments on PC lowering the ratings across the board make the gameplay worse. Certain ratings tiers are going to produce different animations. Basically, if you have a RB in the highest rating tier your going to see the best, smoothest animations. So Imo it's actually better to raise the ratings than to lower them.

Exactly this. Players need high ratings for key skills. If you want to have a good run stuffing DL then he needs high BSH and IBL. Pass rushers need FMV and/or PMV. If your secondary players are all sub 80 in coverage ratings you will NEVER get them to break on the ball without resorting to sliders which work by boosting the ratings anyway!
