If they want to make me smile, how about putting back some what you took out of the game from any last gen effort. Then maybe we can talk about what rookies we will play with. How about giving us a few different running motions for rB's and wr's and then maybe i'll care. But when Saquan Barkeley and some third string guy from the Bengals have the same running style, well, you get my point!!!
Can we avoid taking the thread down this road, please?

Lance can make throws flat footed that take Fields two hitches. Lance has a cannon and CHOOSES to float deep balls with a bunch of touch because he thinks it makes it more catchable.

The thing is, what makes Lance better in real life (sorry Fields fan bois) doesn’t much translate to Madden. Lance is better because he played in a pro-style offense , with NFL style verbiage, NFL style protection calls at the line, and NFL style pre-snap and post-snap reads.

But none of that matters in Madden because QB AI is what it is, and when users play, doubly so.

Also, Lance doea NOT have an “above average arm.” It’s a straight cannon. Not sure where this garbage is coming from, other than one particular scouting report from a guy who clearly just watch a few highlights.

But yeah, we’ll see. But one thing for sure: Lance aint no 70.

The rating will never take that into consideration, they just rate rookies by draft position

That's not crazy, right or wrong Lawrence is considered the best QB prospect in a generation. Since Andrew Luck, basically. There was definitely a wide gap in how they are perceived by almost everyone and that should be reflected by OVR.

Your point about accuracy is definitely valid, however. Fields was a more accurate thrower in terms of his on-target passes. EA usually just uses accuracy rating to mean "better QB" since equally important QB characteristics such as reading defenses pre-snap and post-snap decision-making, really do not come through at all in ratings since it's basically just the user. So if they rated accuracy TRULY like in real life, you're probably right that SAC/MAC for Fields should be slightly higher than Lawrence, Lawrence would probably get the edge on DAC, and thus the gap for actually usering the two would be non-existent--and since Fields is faster he'd actually be better in Madden.

That's a tough design problem EA faces with QBs, because there's just no question that Lawrence is considered a meaningfully better prospect, yet how do you actually reflect that in ratings?
