Blocking FG- NG

You could almost block a FG at will on CG but as I work on NG, I can't seem to get the timing right to get one of the key blockers to attempt a block. Any advice on how to block on NG?

I found that I was so used to the animation making it clear a block was coming on CG that I was letting up even without realizing it at times and was keeping myself from blocking it at times when I could have. Once I realized that it was more organic blocking on NG without the scripted look to it I actually got my hands on a few kicks. You'll learn to recognize when your jump is good enough to potentially get a block in and when you learn to recognize that and continue to pursue the block full tilt you'll get one. They are much more infrequent than CG which I think is better.

Thanks for the advice. I think I may have been looking for that scripted look when the end runs like he has been shot out of a cannon and the screen kind of tilts making the whole thing feel weird.

Ok...do you hit the sprint button or use any angles that may help get to the ball easier?

I hold the trigger to sprint from the second I get moving. As far as angles, I simply try to get around the blocker and to the holder as quick as possible.
