PC version wont launch. checked the game specs and they are the same as last year, so it should work on my rig.

A little bit smoother. Slightly better animations. Otherwise, basically feels the same.

AI may be better. Need to play more to get an idea of the improvements there.
How did you get the PC version. I have EA Play Pro and there is no option to download it that I see.

Welp it looks and plays exactly like Madden 21.

Check to see if you have any driver updates, hopefully that’ll fix it for you. If not, then I think that’s one of the bugs that’ll be fixed with the day 1 patch.

Pretty underwhelmed by the gameplay but that was expected as the area I have the biggest issue with - lack of actual physics-based tackling and player contact - won't be resolved anytime soon, not even on current gen. However, playing around with the new franchise mode features has been fun so far.

Re: Madden NFL 22 Last Gen impressions thread

Didn't want to waste too much time just playing the install game between the Bucs and Chiefs, so I played just a single drive as Tampa Bay. I wasn't able to gather much notes but here's what I got:

The Good:
- I didn't have to use formation subs at all. They had Fournette in on running situations, Bernard on clear passing downs and RoJo was the clear lead runner on everything else.

- The ball trajectory felt good on a number of passes.

- I didn't see or feel any lag during gameplay or in the menus.

The Bad:

- The whole game felt more "floaty" than last year, like players lacked any weight on the field.

- The tackle animations are such an eyesore.

- They really didn't do anything to add to the atmosphere on last-gen.

General Notes & Observations:

- I hate the number restriction changes. I can't stand seeing RBs and other non-QB players wearing single-digit numbers.

- It really doesn't feel like last-gen was changed on the field at all, at least not for the better.
