Penalties?? Anyone?

I'm curious to see if anyone has seen any penalties inside franchise mode games??


I have played 5 games with false start, offsides, holding, and DPI completely maxed out.

In that span I've seen 2 total penalties, both false start on the cpu.

If you have seen holding or any of these 4 penalties... Could you state if you were in an offline or online franchise. What difficulty and What settings you had the penalties on.

P.s. I'm on next gen

Nope. Only false starts for me too. I'll need to edit the rosters to change the player's penalty disciplines.

Something is messed up with them for sure.

I mass edited every player to undisciplined penalty trait and maxed the sliders out, absolutely nothing still on PS5.

Yep, I did the same and only 1 penalty and thats with the sliders maxed out. That penalty was a false start

Ha. I love how EA said that the community doesn’t want holding or pass interference calls because they will negate big plays. Happens every week in the actual NFL. It’s part of the game. Smh

It’s weird. Default penalty settings. Most games nothing, maybe one or two. But yesterday’s game I played I had a false start(cpu), offside(cpu), and a pass interference(on me) and I think a roughing the passer on me. Probably just coincidence.

That has to be one of the worst replies by a company rep I've ever seen. You don't think an NFL head coach is extremely aggravated to have a big play negated by a penalty?

I though the same thing. I posted on there and tried to make the argument for why penalties should be in the game and why there is a slider in the first place. We will see what happens. I am hopeful that there will be at least a slight increase penalties with an update, even if it is just to make the sliders more sensitive.

Wow, his reply was as if he doesn't realize that penalties are apart of the game just like fouls in basketball. NBA 2k21 suffered from that as well. I'm like if you want to reduce the amount of penalties for Competitive then cool. But, for Simulation you have to get that right.

So the way I interpreted this is the team is choosing to not prioritize proper penalties because it is frustrating to have a big gain negated and feels scripted.......... no comment

I played 5 games so far on default sim All pro and I have only seen 1 false start, 1 illegal touching and 2 DPI.

The false start I was trying draw the AI offside because I had the "hard count" perk enabled

I have a few in online franchise. Mostly off sides, and PI. I also seen illegal touching.
