Is online franchise playable atm? Or should we wait for a patch?

Picking the game up today. Is online franchise playable or are there gamebreaking glitches?

It's playable for sure. The new scouting system hasn't been implemented yet, so be aware of that.

The sim stats and score bugs are only affecting offline franchises, so online franchise is fine. You will still have to restart either way if you want the scouting update when it releases, it won’t apply to any already existing franchises. Only negatives to online are, you can’t access it without connection to the servers, and two, you can’t take over a CPU team to fix any dumb things they may do and ‘retire the character’.

Progressive fatigue is bugged for CPU controlled teams.

If you don’t turn it off you will have teams by week 13-14 playing backups all the time.

It does not work with the current CPU logic.

Just warning you.

And not using progressive fatigue takes all the strategy out of XP player development and makes it a static and sterile league.

I would highly suggest waiting for a patch that will hopefully address this feature for CPU controlled teams.

If you don’t care about what I just detailed then turn off Progressive Fatigue and have at it for a cloud based solo franchise.

What? You could always retire your coach, change trams, fix their mistake, retire, and go back to your old team (yes, online). Is this no longer possible?

Yeah online plays great. Minor adjustments to sliders —like very minor—but it’s plying great. Offline is where the issues are….even coverage issues aren’t online

Online Franchise is plenty playable in that you can play through games in seasons, train and progress your players, earn skill points and unlock coaching talents, and do offseason team building.

It doesn't have the promised scouting refresh which is coming in September, and you will have to endure some bugs. Your mileage right now will depend on your tolerance for those bugs.

I personally am waiting until the scouting refresh before I even start franchise.

Are none of you having the issue in online solo franchises on Xbox series x where after a few minutes of starting the mode the game crashes? There’s no error message it just kicks me out to the Xbox Home Screen. I never even got far enough to start a game, after a couple times of it crashing while in the menus I gave up and read on EA’s forums about others having the same problem.

I’ve just been playing face if the franchise and exhibition games while I waited for a patch.

I am testing it for a solo cloud franchise to see if the same bug happens online to CPU controlled teams. Stand by.

No game breaking bugs in my experience in a few season with a cloud cfm. Game plays great. Franchise is awesome.
