With coordinators being brought back I wanted to know if the CPU is signing your Coordinators away from you for HC positions?

Re: Signing Coordinators
I haven’t personally got to test this, but the newest patch notes said they fixed a bug where coordinators were getting poached during Super Bowl week, so it should be happening.

Re: Signing Coordinators
I personally havent seen a coordinator get hired as a HC at all yet. I mostly see HCs just shuffle around every season as one gets fired.
I think it may be a bug that theyre aware of.Comment

Re: Signing Coordinators
I have yet to see this happen. However I've only been through one off-season and the coaches that were fired basically all swapped jobs. This of course isn't ideal, I recall swami saying new coaches are added to the coaching pool each off season.
Did we ever get confirmation if retired players can become coaches/coordinators?

Re: Signing Coordinators
I just finished 2025 season. Both coordinators maxed out. Nobody has hired them away. Same ones I started with. There are a few head coaches in the league who are not original head coaches as I believe I have seen some coach retirement.Comment

Re: Signing Coordinators
Looking through other teams I see just about every team has assistants that are or are one upgrade from being maxed out. I did see one team with an oc that has no upgrades. It looks like there is some upward movement when coaches retire but it is very little. After a few years the coaching tree is pretty much meaningless. I can fire my maxed out guy and hire their maxed out guy and I guess they could do the same but what's the point. Fired coaches, oc and dc need a much higher chance of never being hired again and disappearing for this system to work beyond a few seasons.Comment

Re: Signing Coordinators
Does anyone know what phrases like this mean when associated with Coordinators:
Big Man Focus
Relentless
Hybrid Focus
Don't Look Deep
These are just some phrases associated with Jim Nichols, for example, but I don't know what they actually do to my team or in a game. Is there a description of this stuff somewhere?Comment

Re: Signing Coordinators
Has anyone noticed each HC still has a coaching level?
Go check the coaching win-loss records for each coach in the stats tab.
And XP tab is still there when your a coach looking for job offers
Looks like a bug to me.Last edited by Faikanese; 09-05-2021, 03:07 PM.Comment

Re: Signing Coordinators
Ive seen Joe Judge get fired by the Giants and get signed as an OC for the seahawks.
I mean lions. So this is the 2021 offseason 2nd week.
He was the HC for the Giants so that's a bug. He signed with the Lions as OC.
I am the 49ers.

Re: Signing Coordinators
Is there a way to manually fire HCs and hire coordinators from other teams to fill those HC vacancies?
For example, if I’m playing as the Bears in Coach Mode, at the end of the season can I fire the Lions HC and replace him with the OC from the Saints?
I figured that would be a good way to solve the issue of CPU teams not hiring the maxed out coordinators from other teams.

Re: Signing Coordinators
Depends on the team I am doing, I try to make it realistic. For example Im doing a Phins franchise right now, simmed the first season so I can get Watson in the offseason. Well our offense of course sucked so I fired the OC and hired one, and yes it was one with a lot of staff points.
But I don't think I would just fire just becauseComment
