I know what it’s about, Clint was comparing NFL to Madden, along with coverages.

How can you compare when hard flats, don’t play hard flats?

Cover 3 send a slot on a streak with a wheel right behind it, the safety will let the streak cross his face and plays the wheel? That’s comparable to the NFL?

Can’t compare the 2 unless you have all options to compare the 2, right now it’s only so much you can do with zone coverage

Sorry if you can’t see that

NFL Next Gen stats/movements is just a marketing ploy IMO. Gives EA more reason to talk about NFL specifics and act like they are doing the right thing.

I don't necessarily agree because they have been going off in game metrics for as long as I can remember.

It's just that this hit a nerve with the hard core sim and competitive players because they were talking metrics when there are still issues with core coverages.

And maybe it will be addressed with the rollouts.

No way they are using any type of analytics in there decision making. People trying to argue game time differences. Fine how many points can you score in five mins without the cheese and times it by 3? That's if you don't want to play a full 15 min qtr. How far did you go over 100 pts? Sim

I watched my 10 year old put up 150 points by the end of the 3rd quarter. 15 minute quarters with no accelerated clock. That is how he chose to play and unless EA locks SIM mode as the only mode, you'll always see that.

I choose not to play like that but it be nice if there was a mode for 'us'

I think it's less realistic to tune user down as much because CPU pass rush isn't as handicapped as user AI pass rush, but there's this part of me that feels like it's cheating to do just one.

What I'm mostly interested is realism, however, and I do feel like user pass protection is a bit too strong as well.

EDIT — as it pertains to the game, Madden claims they have similar time to pass as the NFL, however, Madden fails to duplicate WHY: Pass rush pushes the pocket or breaks through, and QB's MOVE in the pocket, step up, or scramble before throwing. This doesn't happen nearly as much in Madden because Madden QB AI and pass blocking/rushing mechanics aren't there yet.

This is a good news type thread at least for coverage issues. I had the same issues last night playing against the cpu, I called zone and the CPU ran a curl route play on offense and my corner was on the wr the whole play but after like 2 seconds of the wr sitting there on his route my corner started back peddling for no reason and just left the wr wide open
